Seattle City Council votes to reject public drug use prosecution bill

In a 5-4 vote Tuesday, Seattle City Council rejected a bill that would have made possessing and knowingly using illegal drugs in public a gross misdemeanor. The bill would have also given the city attorney the authority to prosecute drug possession and public use drug cases.
