According to Rachael Tiede, the TEDx Savannah license holder, speakers went through multiple rounds of review before they were chosen as one of the twelve people who spoke at today’s event, and all of the talks are based on a topic in Savannah.
When you come to a TEDx Savannah event, you will be not only inspired," Tiede said, "but you’ll also have great ideas of things that you can do today, tomorrow even next week to make our city better.
Organizers said that this was the largest turnout ever for this event with around 500 people filling the auditorium.
