SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTGS) — The Savannah Ghost Pirates announced the selection of Savannah as the host city for the 2024 ECHL All-Star Classic.
The game, which will honor the best of the best in the East Coast Hockey League, will take place at Enmarket Arena in January 2024.
The greatest city in the world is ready to roll out the red carpet for the 2024 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic, presented by Gulfstream," Mayor Van Johnson said. "We will work with the Ghost Pirates to show the world that Savannah is now a hockey town!
Ticket information and All-Star Game format will be announced at a later date, according to the team.
Team officials reported record-breaking attendance in the ECHL so far this season, welcoming a capacity crowd of 6,876 fans to 21 of their 24 home games thus far.
Representatives from the NHL and AHL attend the annual All-Star Game and since its inception, it has produced over 70 players who have gone on to the NHL.
