SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTGS) — On Tuesday, the Savannah Downtown Neighborhood Association hosted its annual award ceremony to present 21 community organizations with grants to support their efforts.
According to David McDonald, director of the Association, they raised a record $55,400 through its Holiday Tour of Homes this year.
“It’s why we do it; it’s to help these non-profits, and many of them look forward to our grant applications and want to know when it comes out," McDonald said. "So, that’s important. Any amount of money helps them, and we’re glad to help them.”
