SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTGS) — The Goodwill of Southeast Georgia is continuing its work connecting residents with jobs, featuring a whole week of events at their opportunity centers across the region.
Community engagement coordinator Ashlyn Flowers said throughout Goodwill Week, they will provide free headshots, resume workshops, and several hiring events.
She said they provide wrap-around services at their several opportunity centers, helping residents through the entire job search process from the moment they walk in.

"The great part about being at the opportunity center here is that we have been developing those connections with those employers. So we know what local employers are looking for, what skills they are looking for, and we have those contacts, so if you come here to the opportunity center, you can have access to all those things at again, no cost," Flowers said.
Monday was an Amazon hiring event helping fill positions at five different warehouses throughout the area, with employers from Hyundai and the city of Savannah planned for later this week.
Flowers said they also look forward to opening their new opportunity center in Jesup on Wednesday, making it their fifth center in the Southeast region.
