Former Beaufort mayor meets with medical personnel that saved his life

BEAUFORT, S.C. (WTGS) — Former City of Beaufort Mayor, William Keyserling, met with the Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services personnel Thursday.
Beaufort County EMS staff provided medical care to Keyserling on May 21, 2022.
Keyserling was out boating on the Beaufort River when he suddenly suffered a medical emergency.

Keyserling was spotted by local boaters who were able to bring him to the Beaufort Memorial Hospital dock for treatment.
The Beaufort County EMS personnel were assisted by the City of Beaufort/Port Royal Fire Dept.
While on his visit, Keyserling learned about the advanced lifesaving medical procedures from the same personnel that saved him.
