GARDEN CITY, Ga. (WTGS) — Police officials have identified the two suspects who were arrested following an incident where officers were shot at on Monday.

According to Garden City Police Captain Lindsey Talley, officers were sent to the 300 block of Salt Creek Road for a report of a suicidal person. During a search of the area, officers were shot at.
Law enforcement officials blocked off the street, while they took two people into custody. Nobody was injured during the incident.
Damien Schrecengost, 27, is accused of firing shots at police. He is charged with aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer.
Police also arrested Christopher Bowen, 39. He is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Both were booked into the Chatham County Jail.
The Pooler Police Department, Port Wentworth Police Department, and Savannah Police Department assisted in responding to the incident.
